INTRODUCTION: When the Brady Bill
was introduced and passed by Congress, sheriffs throughout America
were charged with enforcing a blatantly unconstitutional 2nd
Amendment violation. Like many other so-called laws passed by a
Congress that represents less than 20% of the populous, the Brady
Bill was another step to eliminating citizens clear right to bear
arms. Furthermore, the Federal government threatened to prosecute
any sheriff that did not enforce the Brady Bill. Sheriff Richard
Mack lead the charge in filing the Mack v. USA Suit that was fought
all the way to the Supreme Court and resulted in the overturning the
Brady Bill. Sheriff Mack rallied the support of other sheriffs
around the nation and was more effective than large organizations
such as the NRA in securing citizens rights.
The Mack v.USA Suit
success provided Sheriff Mack significant National exposure and the
opportunity to forge relationships and respect with sheriffs across
the nation. Sheriff Mack is well suited in both implementing and
representing CopperCards to citizens and law enforcement. His
experience in overturning unconstitutional so-called laws and
rallying the support of sheriffs across the nation will sever
CopperCards well.
